CARY, NC - The Winston-Salem State Rams cross country team had a strong showing at the Adidas Raleigh Cross Country Invitational. The Rams posted some solid finishes alongside some of the best cross country teams in the nation.

As a team, the squad finished 10^th in the event with a team total time of 1:33.01.00 and 200 total points. North Carolina State hosted the event, which also featured teams from Wake Forest, East Carolina, and North Carolina A&T among others.

WSSU sophomore Brandon Howe led the way for the Rams finishing the 5,000m event in a time of 17:45.00 and placed 30^th. Senior Kenneth Koech had the second best finish for the Rams finishing 34^th in a time of 18:07.00.

The Rams will return to action next Saturday when they take part in the Old Northstate Championships in Pleasanton, NC.
