11/16/08
SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Winston-Salem State University men's golf team turned in what proved to be their most impressive team showing since the re-instatement of the golf program five years ago as they concluded final round action of the Savannah State University Fall Golf Classic at Henderson Golf Club in Savannah, Georgia with a team total of 321 en route to a two-day total of 335 and a fifth-place finish. The Rams' Jerell Fields tallied a final-round 76 en route to individual medalist honors with a tournament total of 148, however, scoring errors would spell doom for the Rams as the teams' efforts would go unrecognized.
