2008 WSSU Football Season Ticket Brochure
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Winston-Salem State University Director of Athletics, Dr. Chico Caldwell announced on Tuesday that the WSSU Department of Athletics will begin selling 2008 WSSU football season ticket packages to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.
As the 2008 football season rapidly approaches and the Rams enter into the third year of Division I football, tickets for WSSU’s six home games are sure to sell out quickly. The Rams and head coach Kermit Blount anticipate six sellouts for home games versus Savannah State, Morgan State, South Carolina State, Howard, Norfolk State and Homecoming 2008 versus Bethune-Cookman.
Fans are urged to purchase their season ticket packages early to avoid getting left out of all of the exciting Division I football action.
With a full view of the Rams’ new 18’ x 18’ hi-definition video board which is mounted atop WSSU’s newly-opened 12,000 square foot athletic field house sits two hundred forty seven (247) reserved red seats, of which only one hundred forty nine (149) remain available for sale, in the prestigious “Reserved Red Seat” section for fans interested in the luxury of a guaranteed seat and seat location for all six games.
New “Ram Seats” are also available by purchasing a general admission season ticket that includes lease rights to a “Ram Seat Back”.
Both the “Reserved Red Seats” and “Ram Seat Backs” season ticket packages will go on sale to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1 and are already on sale to Amon Booster Club members.
General admission tickets will be available starting Sept. 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., the week prior to the Rams’ first home game versus Savannah State University on Sept. 13.
All tickets are available through the WSSU Ticket Office by calling (336) 750-3220, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Tailgating permits and parking passes for all of the Rams’ home games are also available starting July 1, 2008 by contacting Yvonne Dixon in the WSSU Department of Athletics at (336) 750-3336.
Season-long parking passes and tailgating passes will be released for sale starting on July 1 with individual game reserve parking/tailgate passes being sold on a game-by-game basis based on availability. The Rams open their home season against the Tigers of Savannah State University on Hall of Fame weekend, Sept. 9 at Bowman Gray Stadium.
